Spanish Language Facebook Page Alerts Illegal Aliens to Police Checkpoints

A Spanish-speaking Facebook group is being used to alert 29,753 members of law enforcement checkpoints. Posts on the page claims it is alerting those “who don’t have a driver license and [to] report accidents” but it could also be used to avoid law enforcement for any criminal activity, including human, drug, and sex trafficking.

The social media page titled “Reten De Law Policia (Checkpoint) California” targets checkpoints in California but members on the Facebook page also discuss traveling across state lines.

The Facebook page — which is currently accessible to anyone in the public with a Facebook account — purports to show photos and warnings about law enforcement locations and checkpoints.

Updates on the page also appear to receive a great deal of interaction and responses. This one posted in El Monte, California on July 2nd has received over 145 reactions and over 50 shares. It is inquiring about Ramona, California, a small city in San Diego County. The county shares a border with Mexico.

This post on June 24 with a photo of the Ontario, California, police department had 262 reactions and 175 shares. One Facebook user appeared to warn another  by tagging her in the comment section.

The Facebook page is also used to ask if there are roadblocks at a particular location or if a particular area is “all clean.”

Facebook provides readers with a link where posts can be clicked to instantly get a translation from Spanish to English.

On July 4, it also warned those in the group, “Don’t buy of illegal immigrants that apparently the fine is a minimum of $1000 and / or a maximum a year in prison for anyone who is caught using illegal fireworks.” [translated] However, a look at the Facebook “Checkpoint” page shows it is not just used for the Fourth of July or for holidays.

The page has postings of photos of Border Patrol vehicles with notations of, “Be careful my people saw this post on this page.” [translated]

A group member apparently used the page to ask if one can safely travel across state lines, here asking “if there’s catch from San Francisco to the or to Nevada.” Comments were made to the post to answer the question.

A comment to another Facebook post asked about going to Dallas, Texas.

The apparent administrator of the Facebook page is Anghel Cain. According to his personal Facebook page, he is a “Presentador at Ritmo Sin Fronteras and LATV and he lives in Santa Ana, California. It also says he is from Mexico City, Mexico.

On June 14, Cain asked group members:

“Who here likes posting checkpoints without me having to approve the post? If I activate you guys can report retainers without me having to approve the posting,,,, I would support reportandoa who post sales, flyers and things that have nothing to do with the group? Or we continue like this? I ask because someone wanted to stream live a challenge and could not do it at the time. I couldn’t wait for me to approve.” [translated]

On June 6, the administrator Anghel Cain conducted a poll of the group saying:

Despite the fact that this group is to help the people who don’t have a driver license and report accidents, a lot of people sent me to claims that we are alerting the ‘drunk’ and that almost all have license, thanks to the ab60. I answer that by law the police has to publish every challenge that they do and that we can just share the information. Even so i want to know if this group is helping people and ask them if we continue with the group or shut it down or create a new one that don’t say ‘roadblocks’ Think and vote in the poll.” [translated]

The overwhelming answer to his poll, as seen in the screen shot below, was in support of continuing the group. This category received 953 votes as of the time of this article.

The reference to “ab60” in the post is to California’s Assembly Bill 60. As reported by Breitbart News in January 2015, California starting implementing the law that allows illegal aliens to obtain a driver’s license in the state. During the first year, 605,000 driver’s licenses were issued.

“It seems the purpose of this Facebook page is to help illegal aliens and Spanish-speaking U.S. citizens who are unable to obtain a driver’s license to avoid law enforcement,” Jon Feere told Breitbart Texas.

Feere, who serves as the Legal Policy Analyst for the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) added, “Most of the posts are from California, a state that gives out driver’s licenses to illegal aliens, so one wonders what is precluding these individuals from getting one. Did they fail the exam? Are they unwilling to purchase insurance? These are questions one must ask whether we’re talking about U.S. citizens or illegal aliens. But it does suggest that offering driver’s licenses to illegal aliens does not mean that illegal aliens will stop driving if they can’t pass a driving test or are unable or unwilling to purchase insurance.”

The legal policy analyst concluded, “A Facebook page like this is undoubtedly beneficial to foreign nationals who have sneaked across the border and are smuggling people or drugs. It’s notable that many of the checkpoint notices are specific to southern California.”

Sheriff-elect Benny Martinez, who is a deputy in Brooks County, told Breitbart Texas that he believes the Facebook page is being used to “detour criminals from highways and byways where there is a law enforcement presence.” Brooks County is just one county from the Texas-Mexico border and Martinez deals with illegal immigration issues daily.

The border area deputy added, “If I were in the criminal element in California, I would use the Facebook page if I were involved in narcotics or human trafficking. I would ask where is law enforcement today, and I would look for the coordination of federal and local law enforcement authorities.” He noted that criminals can now use their GPS to go around checkpoints and law enforcement covered areas and use back roads.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been called the “dictator” of the “biggest nation of the world,” and there is no doubt about the social media company’s ability to influence content, as reported by Breitbart News. The 32-year-old billionaire has been criticized for promoting amnesty through his lobbyist group Fwd.US, and he has been accused of suppressing conservative content.

In May, Stephen K. Bannon and Alexander Marlow of Breitbart reported that Zuckerberg announced he was planning a “pat conservatives on the head” session with “leading conservatives” to discuss the scandal involving his company’s suppression of conservative media. They wrote, “We have zero interest in a Facebook photo-op” and noted that despite Facebook’s suppression of conservative content in its Trending News section, Breitbart News was #15 in the world on Facebook for total engagement, #12 in the world on Facebook for Shares, and #10 in the world on Facebook for comments.

Breitbart Texas raised questions on July 5 about the company’s blocking a gun range owner’s Facebook page. The page was restored the same day after the article appeared on Breitbart’s front page.

Germany Recruiting Muslim Illegals as Police Officers

Migrant police force to likely enforce Sharia law

The German state of Bavaria is recruiting Muslim migrants as police officers – and German citizenship isn’t required.

When announcing the move, Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann implied they needed Muslim migrants as police because they speak the same language as their fellow illegals and know how they think.

“Our experience has shown that employees with foreign roots are more successful at finding a better approach to migrants,” he told the Bayerische Rundfunk. “I’m optimistic that in this way we can improve our ability to solve crimes and reduce conflict.”

The Bavarian police are also encouraging migrants to enroll due to the fierce opposition to German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s open borders policy.

In other words, they want cops who won’t resist Merkel’s agenda.

Furthermore, the recruitment drive was launched after the deaths of several migrants were blamed on a local neo-Nazi group, which indicates that government officials are trying to exacerbate existing tensions while criticizing anyone who opposes the program as “neo-Nazi” despite their true political affiliation.

German police were already raiding the homes of Germans who were allegedly posting “anti-migrant messages” on the Internet, so it’s likely a Muslim migrant police force could go even beyond that and start enforcing Sharia law given how the German government is already rolling over to the demands of the migrants.

In fact, a German court has already let ‘Sharia Police’ patrol in the city of Wuppertal.

“They wore bright orange jackets with the words ‘Sharia Police,’” the BBC reported. “They told passers-by not to frequent discos, casinos or bars.”

“The court said they had not violated laws on uniforms and public gatherings.”

Update: Military Martial Law Bill Sneaked Through by Senate

Bill gives Obama power to deploy military anywhere – including on U.S. soil

“The Authorization for Use of Military Force put forward by McConnell would not restrict the president’s use of ground troops, nor have any limits related to time or geography,” Defense One reported.

In other words, the authorization allows the president to deploy the military anywhere at his discretion – both foreign and domestic – for as long as he wants.

Several senators, including Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn, were surprised by McDonnell’s decision to fast-track the bill after a year of deep in-fighting over similar measures in the Senate.

“He did?” he asked the National Journal on Thursday morning when reporters informed him about the bill.

Even some Senate Democrats have an issue with a new authorization without geographical restrictions placed on the president.

“I’m for the Congress voting on an AUMF; of course it depends what the AUMF looks like,” Sen. Robert Menendez said Thursday. “I don’t want a blank check.”

It’s also interesting to note McConnell is trying to push through the bill on a Friday as an unprecedented blizzard slams the northeast U.S., including Washington, D.C.

Revolt: Millions of N.Y. Gun Owners Refuse to Register Firearms

Only around 24,000 New Yorkers, many of them cops, complied with gun control law

by Kit Daniels | | June 24, 2015

Millions of New York gun owners refused to register their firearms to comply with the draconian N.Y. SAFE Act.

So far only around 24,000 gun owners, many of them cops, registered their semiautomatic rifles with the state, meaning that the law has effectively been repealed through civil disobedience.

“I am amused at the pathetically low numbers of New Yorkers who registered their so-called assault rifles,” New York State Rifle & Pistol Association President Tom King said. “The number of individuals who registered their guns is 24,000 and many of these are law-enforcement officials mandated to comply by their department.”

“New York gun owners know it is flawed and they are not complying with it. I am confident that we will ultimately prevail in getting significant portions of the law overturned in the courts.”

The SAFE Act, which created a gun registry for semiautomatic weapons using detachable magazines, was practically ignored by both gun owners and sheriffs since it was signed into law by Gov. Andrew Cuomo in 2013.

Protestors against the law marked the April 15 registration deadline by destroying state registration cards.

“They have been shredding the Constitution for years,” gun owner Rus Thompson said. “You shred the Constitution, we’ll shred any form you want us to fill out.”

“They can’t arrest a million people. What are they going to do?”

Erie Co. Sheriff Timothy B. Howard publicly said he wouldn’t enforce the SAFE Act.

“The Constitution is the law of the land,” he stated. “If you know it’s a violation of the Constitution, how can you enforce it?”

Howard described the SAFE Act as one of the strongest examples of the government not listening to the people.

“It’s an unenforceable law and I believe it will ultimately be declared unconstitutional,” he said. “Do you want law enforcement people that will say ‘I will do this because I’m told to do this, even if I know it’s wrong?’”

Law allows man to carry loaded assault rifle through Atlanta airport

When Jim Cooley recently dropped off his daughter for a flight to O’Hare International Airport, he took a picture of them together and posted it –and now it’s gone viral.

Cooley, 51, assumes it has to do with the AR-15 semi-automatic assault rifle slung over his shoulder and loaded with a 100-round ammunition drum. Inside Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world’s busiest.

It was legal, even though police officers showed up and took a report on Cooley and his weapon of choice.

“Because it was a long gun and carried in such a manner, there was a concern for the safety of patrons within the airport,” the police report stated.

But it also noted, “As by current Georgia law, it was not illegal to carry a weapon inside the airport.”

Cooley, a former member of the Illinois National Guard, said he brought the rifle into the airport to protect his wife and daughter. He said he kept the safety lock in place the whole time.

On a YouTube video posted by Cooley, an airport security officer tells him “calls are coming in left and right” about the gun. Travelers pass through the frame and stare at the rifle hanging across his chest. Airline ticket counters can be seen behind him.

“I carry a firearm for the safety of myself and my family. It shouldn’t matter the size of firearm that you are carrying,” Cooley said by phone Thursday. “I’m not scaring anybody. If people are getting scared, that is their own fault.”

Pressed on what he is protecting his family from, Cooley talked about the growing powers of the government. “I believe that police have too much power,” he said. “The police believe that they have power over us, when even our Georgia Constitution says they don’t.”

A Georgia law passed in 2014, the Safe Carry Protection Act, allows people to carry firearms into some sections of airports, bars and, under certain circumstances, schools. Cooley, who used to live in Chicago, praised the Georgia law and criticized his home state’s gun restrictions.

“I used to live in Illinois. The gun laws there are so ridiculous,” he said, adding that he never owned a gun in Illinois. “But here we are much more relaxed. A lot of people carry guns out here.”

Before moving to Georgia, Cooley served for 13 months in the Illinois National Guard, beginning in 1990, according to Lt. Col. Brad Leighton, a spokesman for the Guard.

This is not the first time Cooley’s actions have attracted attention. In April 2014, Cooley was arrested for allegedly carrying a loaded handgun near a school. According to the Gwinnett County police, Cooley was there to protest a school district’s plans to shut down an American Legion post in order to develop the land.

He was charged with criminal trespass but no weapons violations, according to police.

“People freak out if they see someone other than a police officer carrying a gun,” Cooley said. “But since (the Safe Carry Protection Act) was signed last year, unless the police have reasonable suspicion of probable cause that you are about to commit crime, they can’t approach you.”

Say Goodbye To Homemade Guns If These New Bills Pass

Only law enforcement and the military would have access to body armor if a California Congressman gets his way.

Democratic Rep. Mike Honda (D-California) would also like to ban the sale of “lower receivers” that are used to make homemade AR-15s and require the regulation of other homemade firearms in some of the most restrictive gun control legislation ever introduced in Congress.

Honda introduced all three bills on the same day earlier this year.

“These bills are sensible, reasonable measures to limit the damage that can be inflicted by guns and those who mean harm with them,” Honda said. “We have seen too many people injured and killed by guns to just stand by and do nothing. These bills will modernize our gun laws to reflect how weapons are currently getting into the wrong hands.”

The Responsible Body Armor Possession Act, HR 378, would “amend the federal criminal code to prohibit the purchase, ownership, or possession of enhanced body armor,” according to a bill summary. The ban includes helmets and shields. Presumably, anyone who already has purchased such armor would be in violation of the law.

How To Hide Your Guns, And Other Off-Grid Caches…

“This bill allows law enforcement to respond to active shooting situations more effectively,” a press release said.

The Homemade Firearms Accountability Act, HR 377, would require that all homemade guns have serial numbers and be regulated in the same way as those that are purchased.

The Home-Assembled Firearms Restriction Act, HR 376, would ban the sale and purchase of “incomplete lower receivers,” which are often bought by gun enthusiasts to make, for instance, an AR-15.

Banning Guns AND Defense Against Guns

Not surprisingly, gun control groups endorsed the bills.

ar-15“Representative Honda’s bills would fill gaping holes in our nation’s gun laws that make it far too easy for mass shooters, gun traffickers, and common criminals to build homemade military-style firearms and acquire military-grade body armor,” said Kristen Rand, the legislative director of the Violence Policy Center.

But commenters on Honda’s own website wondered about the wisdom behind the bills.

“If body armor, which is entirely defensive in nature, is to be banned, how is that fundamentally different from banning locks on doors?” commenter Jay Silla asked. “After all, locks make it difficult for the police to conduct raids…”

Ryan S. wrote, “So, wait … you want to ban guns because they kill people. … But you also want to ban something that protects people from guns?!? Are you serious?!”

Another commenter was highly critical of the proposed ban on lower receivers.

My Personal Defender: Low Cost Way To Defend Yourself Against Lowlife Criminal Scum!

“Criminals don’t go online, buy an 80% AR lower, buy a jig and an end milling kit, and then spend 3+ hours milling out the AR lower with his drill press, then another hour with a fine file making all the internals fit. You know who does that? Lawful gun owners who will never use that gun that they just made to commit a crime and are more interested in saying ‘I made that.” Some, including me, would call it art,” the commenter, named Gunner, wrote.

Even some Democrats are skeptical of use of serial numbers to track weapons. Last year, California Governor Jerry Brown vetoed a state bill similar to HR 377.

“I appreciate the author’s concerns about gun violence, but I can’t see how adding a serial number to a homemade gun would significantly advance public safety,” Brown wrote after vetoing a bill called SB808.

3D Guns Targeted

At least one gun control advocate thinks that Honda’s legislation also targets 3D- printed guns, although such weapons were not mentioned in the press release.

“3D printed guns remain unregulated and law enforcement deems them a threat,” said Brian Malte, the senior national policy director of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. “We applaud Rep. Honda for introducing legislation to regulate 3D printed guns to protect our kids and communities.”

UK Prime Minister David Cameron Proclaims – It’s Not Enough to Follow the Law, You Must Love Big Brother

It’s not just those domestic extremists and crazy “conspiracy theory” kooks who took serious issue with UK Prime Minister David Cameron’s recent overtly fascist language when it comes to freedom of expression in Great Britain. For example, in a post published today, the UK Independent describes the quote below as “the creepiest thing David Cameron has ever said.”

Screen Shot 2015-05-14 at 11.52.20 AM

This statement, and others like it, are a huge deal. This isn’t how the leader of a major civilized Western so-called “democracy” speaks to the citizenry. It is how a master talks to his slaves. How a ruler addresses his subjects. I think the following tweet by Glenn Greenwald earlier today sums up David Cameron’s attitude perfectly well:

Those of us who are in disbelief over David Cameron’s recent language, don’t have to just point to the quote above. There’s a lot more to it than a simple quote. For example, the Guardian reports:

The measures would give the police powers to apply to the high court for an order to limit the “harmful activities” of an extremist individual. The definition of harmful is to include a risk of public disorder, a risk of harassment, alarm or distress or creating a “threat to the functioning of democracy”.

A “risk of public disorder,” or a “risk of harassment alarm or distress.” Think about that for a second. Pretty much 90% of all speech could be classified as posing a risk to all of those things. It’s basically banning any criticism the government doesn’t like. Truly remarkable. Now here’s how the magnificent “democracy” of Great Britain plans on dealing with such “extremists.”

They would include a ban on broadcasting and a requirement to submit to the police in advance any proposed publication on the web and social media or in print. The bill will also contain plans for banning orders for extremist organizations which seek to undermine democracy or use hate speech in public places, but it will fall short of banning on the grounds of provoking hatred.

Although I’m not a British citizen and have never lived in the UK, I have spent some time writing about the disturbing trends happening across the pond due to the historic, cultural, geopolitical and linguistic ties between the U.S. and Great Britain. I warned all about these dangerous trends last fall in the post, The UK’s Conservative Party Declares War on YouTube, Twitter, Free Speech and Common Sense. Here are a few excerpts:

Teresa May wants to “ban non-violent extremist groups that fall short of the current threshold for being banned as terrorist-related organizations.” Think about that very closely. Essentially, she is saying non-violent groups that are currently not breaking any laws should be criminalized by creating new laws. Once this process begins, it will continue to be expanded and expanded until pretty much every form of expression other than government propaganda will be banned.

Secondly, she notes that the new laws are necessary to combat groups that undertake activities “for the purpose of overthrowing democracy.” Considering that the U.S. government changes the meanings of words at a moment’s notice, such as claiming that “imminent” doesn’t really mean “imminent,” I argue that an official government definition of democracy is necessary. Moreover, what if the UK is like the U.S., a state that claims to be a democracy, but in reality is an oligarchy? What are the rules about calling for the removal of an oligarchy?

Have fun mates.

Video: Law Student No Longer Wants To Work For Border Control After Being Harassed And Tased For No Reason

Detained for 3-4 hours over “cute dog” comment and for not moving when ordered
Video: Law Student No Longer Wants To Work For Border Control After Being Harassed And Tased For No Reason

by Steve Watson | InfoWars | May 11, 2015

A graduate studying criminal justice who had hoped to pursue a career in the Border Patrol, has abandoned the ambition after being stopped and physically harassed by Border Control agents for no reason.

Twenty-one-year-old Jess Cooke, who graduated from SUNY Canton this weekend with a law enforcement leadership degree, was shoved and tased by an agent after she refused to obey orders to move. Cooke captured the incident on video.

As revealed in the footage, Cooke was detained for a secondary inspection after agents claimed she acted nervously at the checkpoint in Waddington, New York, on the US-Canada border.

A female agent decided that Cooke’s non-response to a comment about her dog being “cute,” was sufficient grounds to search her car.

Cooke refused the search, and was ordered to get out of her vehicle and wait for a K-9 Unit to arrive.

When Cooke began filming the incident and questioning the agents as to why she was being detained, they became increasingly uncommunicative and ordered her to move away from them.

Cooke refused, and told a male supervisor that she would sue him if he touched her when he threatened to physically move her himself.

Still, Cooke refused to move, and the agent shoved her, then broke out a taser, shooting Cooke in the back and shocking her with 50 thousands volts, causing her to scream and panic.

The agents then immediately claimed that it was Cooke who had put her hands on them first.

“I was cuffed for over an hour after being out in the Border Patrol car and then brought to the U.S. Customs station in Ogdensburg. I sat there for a good 3-4 hours and got sent home due to they couldn’t figure out what charges to put on me,” Cooke said in a written response.

The vehicle was eventually searched, and nothing untoward was discovered.

Cooke says she has cuts and bruises from the scuffle and marks on her wrists from being handcuffed. The Border Control has not responded for requests for comment.
