My recipe for homemade fries.
1 large sweet potato
Seasoned salt or sea salt and cayenne
Heat oven to 450-475.
Chop potato into sticks or wedges roughly half a centimeter thick. (I strongly recommend using the cleaver and a cutting board. Otherwise it’s like cutting wood.)
Lay evenly on a cookie sheet, brush throughly with olive oil (make sure to push them around a bit to get both sides), add seasoning to taste. You can also toss coat them, just make sure they get plenty of oil or they’ll stick to the pan and dry out.
Bake for about 25 min. Push them around about half way to make sure they’re not sticking.
They’ll be done or close to it when you start to smell them.
Let sit for a few minutes to cool. Serve hot.
Unlike regular fries these still taste good cold or microwaved.
If you reheat them in the oven it’ll take about 5 min. Watch em closely, they burn fast.
Tastes good dipped in homemade ketchup, mustard, marshmallow sauce, or honey.
